26Ÿ09Ÿ2006

The long weekend was brilliant, went to warmbaths for 3 days, we got sun burned, hooked up with maybe some of the most beautiful young girls in South Africa (matter of opinion), got baked and extremely drunk. The place was also packed to capacity, but that was fine as the modd around the place was very jovial, every one seemed to be having lots of fun, unlike one of our trips last here were it was tense as it seemed there was a fight around every corner. Still making our December plans, we will hopefully be going down to the coast for a week, I might even hook up with some friends down there, will wait and see about that though.

United mananged to throw away 2 more points on the weekend with a very disappointing draw against reading, Chelsea now have a 2 point gap at the head of the table and that’s exactly what I didn’t want to happen, nothing worse then having to chase someone else!

On more somber news I received word today that one of the men that worked in my company committed suicide on the weekend, Lance was an extremely friendly and funny old man, who always seemed to find the light hearted side of things. My condolences go out to his family as I know he will be sorely missed by every one who new him.

I actually still feel i little hang over, but I'll post anyway. Had a short hard weekend, lots of booze, and smoke around. Yesterday I hardly left the house at all due to my inability to think properly, damn side affects of drinking, do they have to be so harsh!

To add to my misery yesterday, United lost to Arsenal with a late goal by Adebyor...bloody african......The first half of the game was brilliant, even though Gary Baily and Eddie Lewis thought Arsenal shaded it, (Me Thinks they are scared of Ida) Anyway a silly error by Ronaldo cost United the game, as Arsenal broke and scored from it.

I wont go to much into detail of what happened on Friday and Saturday, because I feel that some things a better left unsaid. Thats all for now!

Damn it sucks to be back at work, after enjoying my time off it was back to waking up at 06:00 this morning and preparing myself for the long drive to the office in bloody traffic. After successfully navigating the jungle that is our freeways I strolled into work 20 mins late and already tired of being back at work. Then the calls started coming in from the people in the office...oh DJ the printer isn’t working, oh DJ my monitor stopped working...oh DJ I cant get onto the internet etc....all in all I miss the fun already!

We all woke early on Monday and set off for the Valley of Waves, only to arrive at the gate and be told the pricing, which we then decided was bloody to expensive, considering we had budgeted a set amount, which included a healthy portion for drinks, which was torn to shreds as soon as we heard the entry prices, and the fact that I was meant to pay for everyone and get the money back from them later, gave me a large say in whether we stayed or left, I decided on leaving!

We have made arrangements to go to Warmbaths next weekend, which we have already booked for the weekend, so there will be no bugging out of that one, not that we would considering all the fond memories that place gives us. On the soccer front United managed to edge past Spurs on Saturday and then past Celtic midweek in the Champions League mad it an enjoyable couple of days for me. 2 Big games on the weekend will see Chelsea take on Liverpool and ManU take on Arsenal. I couldn’t dream of facing Arsenal at a better time, they are struggling in the league and only managed to get a win midweek in the Champions League after one of their opponents was red carded. As for the Liverpool Chelsea game, Liverpool are coming of a pretty bad week after losing in the derby on the weekend and then failing to beat PSV midweek, also looks like there is trouble in the camp as Rafa benched arguably their best player in Steven Gerrard, Chelsea on the other hand managed 2 wins against EPL and CL opponents, but not with out the usual moaning and conspiracy theories coming from their disillusioned manager Mourinhio.....

That’s all for now!

Traffic Traffic Traffic!

What a hectic week this has been, finished my month end cash books on Wednesday, and also caught up on few older things I had let lag behind. I am also busy planning a trip to the valley of the waves in Sun City next week, I have already taken the time off, now just have to finalize who will be joining me on this jol. My dad will definitely be invited, just to get away from stress at his house with his girlfriend. I know My 2 brothers will also be joining me and hopefully my cousin. Still waiting on the rsvps from my other mates, they'll have to pay for themselves though, I am only paying for my family. Should be back in the office on 14/09/2006, and will make time to install my director’s new PC.

Today started like a nightmare, was traveling to work, and making good time of it too, as soon as I got to the Bayers Naude off ramp that is. A journey that normally takes me 5 minutes for the off ramp to my office took me an hour, apparently there was a huge power failure in the area, which just stuffed traffic up for miles, anyway it is only a matter of hours until this day is over and the fun can begin. My mates and I have organized a little party at my cousin’s place, will have a braai to start with, then out will come the herbal refreshments, the music and the debauchery. The girl I have been flirting with the last few times out will be there, will try and grab a pic of her on my cell and post it here, never been big on posting pics though, there is never really any proof that the people in them are who they say they are!
Hopefully I'll have a blast there tonight and it'll set me up nicely for the next 5 days...woohoo it's the weekend baby!

Have been getting a bit upset with my Dads girlfriend, she keeps harping on about if he doesn’t get a job she'll pack up and leave, this the same bitch who was leeching off him when he was still with my mom and had a successful business, anyway he is more then welcome to comeback and stay with me if he wants, and I have told him as much. I'll feel real sorry for the kids, because no one deserves to belong to a broken home ( ironic that the bitch broke ours and is now suffering the same fate), my little bro (step bro) has become an integral part of our council of friends over the last few years and I know he'll be hurt by it. But at the end of the day my dad doesn’t need extra stress put on him and that’s that!

Trying to right a book, I know being a jock and not being the greatest student, probably don’t bode well for the books future but maybe I'll have fun doing it. I also have to pick up on where I left off on that programming thing, another thing that bores the living shit out of me!

That’s all for now, next post will be next Thursday!

It's been pretty hectic these last 2 days at work, busy running month end cash books, so everything else takes a back seat. Just about finished them, with only 2 left to complete, will do them tommorow as I am completey bushed. I did have a chance though to place the order for Battlestar Gallactica season 2 from take2.co.za, will hopefully get it before the weekend.

Not much else to say on my side, England play Macedonia tommorow night, which no doubt will be much harder then Englands game against Andorra (England won 5 - 0 ). Hopefully Jermaine Defoe will continue the form he showed on Saturday against Andorra, I also hope Aaron Lennon will start the game, he created some great chances when he came on in the second half of that game.

Another game which will be an interesting watch will be Italy taking on France in a replay of the World Cup Final, with no Zidane it will definately be interesting to see how France manage, they are definately the better team, but will players like Frank Ribery and Henry came to the party and put those bloody Italians to the task...guess we will just have to wait and see.

Jeez, if it werent so busy I'd probably have a lot more to post about, anyway thats all for now!

The Weekend that was

I watched United 93 with some friends of mine, and must say it was a quite enjoyable. We weren’t going to watch it, but sussing up our options, that was the only thing we could watch. I know what it feels like when you get terrifying news that one of your loved ones is in danger, how you go weak all over your body, your mind starts racing and you can quite get a grip on reality.....As for the whole 9/11 event, one has to wonder how some one could let their views and world perceptions be twisted so horribly out of shape to make them commit such an atrocity. They lost all credibility and gave away any moral high ground they may or may not of had by hijacking those planes and killing so many innocent people.

Last night well discussing this whole thing with my bro, I came to the conclusion that the invention of the gun has caused many of the worlds ills, that and any sort of organized religion, maybe doing away with both would help lead the world onto a peaceful path, sure there may be growing pains, but that would only prove the whole thing is working.

On to a the soccer front of things, England completely destroyed there opposition on the weekend, with that tool Peter Crouch scoring 2 goals....I just don’t understand it, If I were defending against a player like that he’d never score, he is gangly and seems to lack coordination......but that could just be my perceptions of him. Jermaine Defoe showed why he should have been at the World Cup by scoring 2 himself, and could have even had a hat trick if not for the acrobatics by the Andorra Keeper. Italy failed to beat Liechtenstein (I don’t know if that’s the correct spelling) and could only muster 1 all draw. On the transfer front it turns out that United declined the services of West Hams new Argentineans, apparently Mascheriano was offered to the club twice, but both times the deal didn’t suit united and the turned it down. It will definitely be interesting to see these guys play, another clause in their transfer to West Ham was they had to play when they were fit, regardless of form or attitude....that can never work, as it will only lower the moral in the rest of the team, no one should be guaranteed a place in the starting line up, that should be earned week in and week out!

....that’s all for now!

Spring is in the Air

Well I had an interesting start to spring, being casual day....supposedly, I got dressed in my tracksuit pants and my new United top, being all proud like I set off for work. However when I arrived it seemed I was the only one who got the bloody memo....blixem. So I went to the boss and told him my geyser burst last night and ruined all the clothes I had neatly laid out in my room, which coincidently lies directly under the bloody geyser (or not) and how terribly embarrassed I felt about the whole thing, but it was either that or calling in sick......

Only working till about 3pm today, after that the whole company will be off to the bowling alley for some competitive inter company bowling, and a some alcohol consumption...woohoo. I see my side failed to make in transfer deadline signing’s last night, bloody West Ham go and steal to possible signings right from under us, it’s a sad day in football when a side like West Ham can beat the bigger sides to signings, all I can hope for now is that both the youngsters don’t adjust well to the English game.

In other news the Ashley “Cry Baby” Cole has finally completed his transfer to the Chelsea, he is actually quite suited to that side, especially with all the cry babies already there and their cry baby manager. Damned internationals on the weekend so we’ll have to wait a week to see how these new signing’s affect the sides...hopefully they all have negative effects, that way ManU can walk the league this here (if your not a Manc, you’re a Wank).
