Shit like this gets My Blood boiling!

On my way to work this morning, I heard a report that 10 taxi drivers were assaulting a motorist in an apparent road rage incident. The driver of a BMW apparently went into the back of the taxi, which I know is not a difficult thing to do, considering these fuckers stop randomly and suddenly on the road, I just heard on the news that the taxi driver got out of his car and smashed the motorists wind shield, when the driver got out of his car several more mini bus taxis stopped and began assaulting the man.

My grievances with this are on two points, firstly with all the eye witness accounts coming in about this incident, why didn’t people react and come to the man's aid, surely they could see that he was in trouble, this just reinforces my opinion that South Africa is a nation of cowards, scared to death of being injured, that’s why crime in this country continues to soar out of control, it isn’t because the police aren’t doing their job, it's because the law abiding citizens in this country allow shit like that go an answered. The second thing that is irritating me about this is why are taxi drivers still allowed to break the laws of the road and still not be punished, maybe it's because the rumor's of them all being owned by police are correct and the are seemingly above the law that normal tax paying citizens are obliged to obey. I am a very hot headed person and I do act on impulse, recently (about a year ago) I had been a victim of a smash and grab, the bastard smashed my window and grabbed my phone, I hit the guy in the car, but he still managed to wriggle his way out of my car and jump over the wall the other side of the road, little did he now I lived only 2 minutes away, I collected my bro, we found him and beat the shit out of him, I had assault charges laying over me for that incident, which seems to have blown over (I don’t expect to be arrested after a year).

Now I am not advocating wholesale vigilantism, I’m just saying if people had stopped, got out of the car and shown the taxi drivers that the man was not alone, maybe something like this wouldn’t have happened, instead we sit cowering in our cars waiting for some one else to do something, sure there is a very real possibility that you are putting yourself in imminent danger, but if people don’t show unity, shit like this will continue to go unpunished...anyway that's all for now, let me try and relax away from the subject!

Well it's been nine day's since my last post, things have been pretty hectic here at work, also the weekends have been getting heavier and heavier on me. This last weekend was another of drinking, smoking weed and getting together with the ladies, I got a bit of a shock when I came out and couldnt find my car, I was quite beside myself with anger thinking some bastard had probably stolen my it, after much drunken investigation it turned out that one of my mates had decided to go home with one of the ladies he picked up at the party, leaving me and my new friend stranded, I felt kinda bad because I offered her a lift home and ended up looking like a deadbeat with out wheels.

Movies I managed to see on the weekend was Lucky number Slevin, which was enjoyable and Maimi Vice which had a very slow start, but got better as the movie progressed. I also bought the complete season of Rome, which is now one of my classic's. Sometime in the future I will put my all time classics list up here, as well as those I am still looking to get.

On the football front United beat Wigan 3 - 1 on Saturday, as well as winning last night in the Champions League against FC Copenhagen, Rooney is looking back to his best, which is encouraging. The big game this weekend see United take on Liverpool on Sunday and I cant wait for that one, Both my Father and Brother are Scouser supporters so it should be an intense affair.

That's all for now

09 October 2006

Damn, I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. Friday night I went to my cousins pad for another party, Music, drinking and the holy smoke were again taken in like a fat kid at a free sweet shop! Saturday was over cast thank god, sat outside by the pool with my sunglasses on regretting my actions the night before. In the afternoon a few mates came around so we hooked up a braai and went and bought some drinks and were going to watch the rugby, the watching rugby part never happened, as we got side tracked out at the pool drinking and terrorising our nosey neighbours.

On the football front England only managed to draw with Macedonia, with that useless Peter "Duh" Crouch irratating me with his complete lack of talent. The Scot's managed an upset beating the Frogs (France) and thats all the football news I feel like sharing. Rooney still seems to be struggling for form at the moment, dont know why he is taking so long to get back to his best.

Thats all I have time for at the moment, will probably blog again a little later toay or tommorow!

Bit hectic at the moment, busy doing month end cash books and the like, not really fun work for someone in an IT department. Watched Fun with Dick and Jane, and must say I quite enjoyed it, it was one of the shows that was on my dont want to see list, but the weekend was long and my CNA credit was eating away at my pocket. I also bought The Ultimate Jarassic park and the first season of Rome, which I am currently enjoying. Rome was another one on my dwts list, must say the generous nudity has really made it worth while for me, I also find myself really enjoying the story line, funny how that sounds very similiar to the "I only buy playboy for the articles" excuse!

On the football front United destroyed Newcastle on Sunday, while the score may read 2 - 0 at the end of the day, the gulf in class was a lot bigger then that. Ronaldo, whom I still have difficulty supporting since the World Cup Wink, is playing like he actually wants to win over the England faithfull in the ManU ranks, and I must be honest, if he keeps turning in perfomances like that, it wont be long until even I am backing him again. To add to my joy both Liverpool and Chelsea dropped points on Saturday, Chelsea with a hard fought 1 all draw against Villa, and Liverpool losing to Bolton....what joy.

I have also discovered the music of ICP, and I am quite enjoying it. I know they have been around for quite a while now, but I havent had much exposure to their music, I will definately be going to Look and Listen some time this week to try and pick up a few of their records. I have also taken up cycling or mountain biking, to regain my fitness, nothing worse then feeling like you been ass raped by a bicycle seat, damn well should have bought the gel seats, another thing I will be rectifying this weekend, all in all thats all for now, time to get back to my bloody work!
