Is This Thing On

Wow, Finally I have a chance to post something here. Last week I was off and got up to quite a bit, we started our trek down to durb's, only to to turn around and come back after finding out that the newly arranged accommodation was not available either. So we spent about 5 hours on the road to end up where we started. We decided we would just chill in joburg and do a number of things in and around the city. That plan took a back seat to us being drunk at my place every day of last week, which was also fun...well te bits we can remember at any rate. I also got a chance to play Rockstar's Bully (Cannes edit general or something like that) must say I haven't played PS2 in a long time, I cant get used to the anolog sticks on the bloody controllers, but for this game I made an effort. I don't play the missions much, I just like attacking other kids and the prefects, also sneaking into the girls room and hiding in the cupboards brought back some fond memories. The game is definitely one of my new favourites, and the only PS2 game I bother playing. Our Christmas party is tomorrow night, the company is taking us to the Barnyard Theatre to go watch something called Diamonds and Dust or something to that effect, I am going to got hammered with my boss and the other IT guys, my only concern is having to drive home afterwards, they now take your car away if found to be heavily under the influence, which would not be cool. I could probably crash at one of my colleagues house's for the night and then go home in the morning when I am sober or halfway sober.

Lot of hogwash in the news today, people complaining about a few Bok supporters waiving the old SA flag, which is stupid (The people complaining not the flag) also news that ManU may make a bid for Jermaine Defoe, not sure if he would fit in at OT, I'd like to see Sean Wright-Phillips make the move to United, he could be the ideal replacement for Giggsy! Other then that I don't have much more to add to this!

Ok my first post on Blogger Beta!

Quick Update, looks like I am going to have to find alternate accomodation next week , as the Ramsgate beach home has been booked by my sister's in-laws...god dammit. Looking at the possibility of a camp site in Matalumi South Coast, if that doesn't come right then either we sleep in our cars are we leave it for December. It looks as if my December leave has also been restructured, with me only getting the days between Christmas and New Years now, which is right really sucks. I recently rekindled my interest in Oak Island's Money Pitt, I have been doing research (half heartedly) on and off for about a year, unfortunately I don't have the resources available at present to get down to them, I recently started liaising with the mod on the site, trying to get as much info from him as possible, and on the weekend I will pop into a library..(Shudder: the word just doesn't roll of the tongue does it) and see if I can find more info on OI.

On the soccer front ManU still doing will in the EPL, this weekend they take on the Blades (Sheffield United) which should be very competitive, smaller teams always seem to play like super stars when playing against United, its quite annoying to say the least, and then on the 26/11/2006 United take on Chelsea....this game will show how reliable United's form in the league has been, hopefully we will take in the 3 point gap we currently have (only if United win on the weekend) because it is always nice to have some sort of cushion for these types of matches.

Anyway I have work to do so that's all for know

Been a bit hectic the last couple of weeks, thought I'd post a quick update about what's going on in my life. Last weekend I hosted a 2 day pool party, which was quite cool. Got horribly burnt, but it was all worth it. I also met some one who I think I could finally have a committed relationship with, which sounds weird because I promised myself I'd only ever do that when I was 60. Anyway United have been playing some good football lately, of course with the exception of the Champions League midweek loss to FC Copenhagen. This weekend We take on Pompey, who themselves have also had a better then usual start to the season.

On the political front a lot of friends have been talking about leaving this country, and I just cant understand why, sure crime is high, our political leaders all seem to be high, but other then that there is no better country in the world. I will be off to Durbs on the 20 of this month for a 5 day break before my 15 day December break, so all in all I should have a fun couple of weeks up a head of me.

Thats all for now, just a quick hit and run blog!
